Spiritual Blindness

Great dreams begin as we expand our concern and deepen our burden and muster our courage and begin to live. You cannot even begin to live the dream God has for you until you stop caring about only yourself.

It’s a “me first, you later” kind of world that we live in today. How many people do you know that will go out of their way when they see someone struggling and help that person? How many people do you know that have such great empathy and compassion for others that they will set their needs aside and care for other person’s needs first?
Now, how many people do you know that won’t even look at you as you pass them in a store? How many people do you know that will just look on as something bad happens and not try to do anything about it? How many people will flip you off, curse at you, etc. while driving?
The truth is, I know way too many people who have the “me first, you later” mentality. Too many people care only about themselves and blind themselves to the world.

But as Christians we have to shed off the blinders and see what God wants us to see. When we start seeing things like God sees them then we start dreaming the dreams God wants us to dream.
