Today at school we started a new program called Connections: Investigating Reality. The program is a really unique program that was created to really get people thinking. The sole purpose is for people to realize the problem solving process that they take and it seeks to expand that.
As the books says: Instead of using your head mostly as a place to store facts and other information to be recalled to pass a quiz or test, you’ll be solving puzzles—the same kind of puzzles you routinely solve every day. The aim won’t be to stuff your head with more and more information, but to improve your puzzle- solving ability.
In my group we started the “unlearning process” as one of my teachers says. And I can honestly say that it was difficult to start. Both because of a lack of focus and because of the difficulty of working with a whole group on the process. But it’s a work in progress and I look forward to progressing in this program.
